Current state of the project

The project with the objective of having a working Clean e-Waste Channel has been divided into the following steps:

Need Assessment among the companies in Electronics City
Data Assessment in Electronics City
Definition of a Clean e-Waste Channel in Electronics City
Definition of required Elements for the Implementation of a Clean e-Waste Channel
Development of an Accounting System for ELCIA to keep track of Waste

A Need Assessment Survey has been filled in by 17 major companies in Electronics City. This gave ELCIA the opportunity to get hold of the needs, wishes and expectations of the companies when dealing with e-waste. An anonymous evaluation of this survey will be posted on this page as soon as completely finalized.

At the moment, ELCIA is working on a Data Assessment which will allow ELCIA to define the capacity of the Clean e-Waste Channel. In this Data Assessment companies will be questioned about the amount and type of e-waste they generate annually. Additionally, this data will also enable ELCIA to develop a stable financing of the Clean e-Waste Channel. ELCIA's objective is to provide a e-waste management system for the companies in Electronics City that shall be environmental friendly and free of charge at the same time.
